Keep an eye on: Injuries: LEAVE THIS GAME WITHOUT ANY ADDITIONAL MYSTICS PLAYERS GOING DOWN TO INJURY!!! Finding Offensive Rhythm: in todays game against the East leading New York Liberty is a big deal for two reasons. One, this is Washington's first round playoff opponent. Two, the Mystics have been up and down shooting the ball as of late and I'm sure, would love to send a message to the Liberty that their potential first round battle, won't be easy at all. In Friday’s loss to the Dream, the Mystics shot 38.6 percent from the field as a team. With standout forward Elena Delle Donne, a member of the ultra exclusive 50/40/90 club, shooting 4-14 from the field, point guard Natasha Cloud finishing 1-5 and guard Ariel Atkins, in her first game back sporting a face mask to protect herself after suffering a nasal fracture a few weeks back against the Aces, went 0 for from the field. I'm sure, not being comfortable playing with a mask, her being rusty and her conditioning not being where it would normally be had she been healthy, had a lot to do with her cold shooting performance. Regardless, the Liberty won't and shouldn’t feel sorry for the Mystics as playoff intensity has already arrived. For Washington to have any chance at upsetting New York today and in the playoffs, these three as well as everyone else, have to be on top of their game offensively or it will be a short playoff run, followed by tough questions to answer regarding the make-up of the roster heading into the offseason.
